Child
Protection Policy Brooklands Gospel Centre recognises that the well-being of children attending its activities is paramount and that being in the position of responsible adults we must all take steps to ensure that no child is endangered or abused by adults. Brooklands Gospel Centre has a Child Protection Policy and a Child Protection Co-ordinator to oversee this policy and its application. This person will be aware of the provisions of the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 and the Protection of Children & Vulnerable Adults (NI) Order 2003 (POCVA) and will liaise with local authorities and other agencies on these matters as the need arises. This co-ordinator will keep a register of matters arising and take any responsible action necessary. Brooklands Gospel Centre will ensure that everyone working with children will be checked through the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure process and be required to attend Child Protection Training. Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) facilitates Brooklands Gospel Centre with the CRB disclosure process and training. |
