Isaiah 55:8-
At a first reading, it may appear that the writer is drawing attention to the remoteness of the Creator to His creature. But surely the opposite must be in His mind. He wants rather to show that in contrast to our thoughts of selfishness, envy and impatience; He comes close and reveals Himself with thoughts of mercy, love and longsuffering.
