The Gospel is not what human nature would expect. It would be more pleasing to bless the virtuous rather than the profligate.’ To reward ‘good’ people instead of wrong doers, but when we reflect on the bible teaching that there is “ none righteous” (Romans 3:10) we rejoice in the good news that mercy is reserved for sinners who repent and accept Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9).
