Bob and Lenore Souza

Lenore Campbell was commended by the Comber Road assembly, Dundonald, in 1970 to serve the Lord as secretary to Dr. Brian Tatford and the L'Eau Vive centre near Aix-en-Provence in Southern France. During her time there she met Bob Souza, from Edinburgh. They were married in 1975 and after spending a year at the Bible Training Institute, Glasgow, they returned to France in 1976 commended by the fellowship in Brooklands Gospel Centre.

They have worked in several places over the years: Montluçon, Vichy (where their eldest son Damien was born in 1981), Angers (Olivia joined the family in 1984 and Ivan in 1988) and in 1999 they moved to Clermont-Ferrand. For many years they were involved in youth work and young people's camps in connection with the Flambeaux movement, of which Bob was national president.

At the moment Bob's work consists of Bible teaching both in Clermont and further afield, writing (in particular, for the Christian tear-off calendar), running a web site for sharing biblical resources (www.koina.org) and doing maintenance work at Les Chaumettes, a campsite in the Correze area about 100 kilometres from Clermont.

Lenore is involved in several activities in the local church, does visitation, offers hospitality and encourages one and another by telephone or e-mail.

Damien married Gillian (from California) in 2006. They are presently (2008) living in Carmarthen, Wales, and are actively involved in their local church there. Damien teaches French in a High School and Gillian gives home tuition.

Olivia has degrees in English and Linguistics and would have liked to do teacher training. She has failed to get a place and is currently considering other possibilities for work.

Ivan is studying law in Clermont.
