Revelation 5:12

Vindication and Validation
“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which
pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him” -
“...ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in
the clouds of heaven” -
Men of the world spend fortunes trying to clear their names. There is nothing so terrible as a man dying under suspicion or wrongful accusation. That is how the Saviour died. His accusers said “that deceiver said…” (Matthew 27:63). “He saved others: let him save himself, if he be the Christ, the chosen of God” (Luke 23:35). It was plain to see that they understood the implications. They believed that there would be a Messiah, but a Messiah that ended up on a cross must be a fraud.
The chief priests protested to Pilate because they did not believe his claim to be
the King of the Jews: They said “Write not, the king of the Jews; but that he said,
I am the king of the Jews” -
The last time the nation of Israel saw Him, He was impaled in shame on a tree!
What a shock it will be to the national conscience, when their Messiah enters Jerusalem via the Mount of Olives, bearing the marks of Golgotha’s crucifixion. The prophet Zechariah says that “they will look upon him whom they have pierced and mourn for him as a man mourns for his only son”. And the thrice spoken words from the excellent glory will be seen to be true “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED”.
And what about the validation of His claims?
Is He the Son of Man? YES!
Is He King? YES! “The Lord shall be king over all the earth” (Zechariah 14:9).
Is He truly the Messiah, the anointed of Jehovah? YES! And when Israel sees Him, they will cry out, “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows” (Isaiah 53:4).
Two reasons, therefore, why the Lord Jesus must and will return:
